Located at the northern Gateway to Yellowstone Park, your alpine soaring center - Sunbird Aviation, Inc- has been soaring the majestic mountains of Montana and the greater Yellowstone region for twenty years. Sunbird instructors and guides have the special skills, intimate knowledge of terrain and atmospheric conditions and state of the art equipment necessary to fulfill your soaring dreams.

If you choose to enhance your experience or wish to broaden your soaring skills, Sunbird can provide week long vacation soaring packages. These packages can be tailored to satisfy your personal goals and desires, and can be coordinated with other vacation activities such as fly fishing, skiing or hiking.
Sunbird instructors and guides soar year round. Good soaring conditions exist throughout the day. We suggest you make a reservation for late morning or afternoon to get the best from our excellent soaring weather. Wear multiple layers of clothing to adjust for maximum comfort and do not forget sunglasses, hat and sunscreen.
